Yesterday afternoon at 4 pm, the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) posted their revised math testlets in PDF format, and, 2.5 hours later, a group of Oxford area teachers met to work the problems.  We are so pleased with the revised testlet!  The mathematics is correct, the answer key is correct, and there are no spelling or notation errors.  We even saw many of our own suggestions and edits within the revised testlet.  One or two questions which were flawed beyond hope are gone and new problems took their place. The testlet will provide a great instructional tool as teachers and students prepare for the big assessment at the end of April.

Now to work on the 8th grade testlet.  Anyone want to meet me for dinner?
