Podcasts

It took me a while, but about 5 years ago I started listening to podcasts. My favorite podcast is “How I Built This” by Guy Raz. Currently I am Loving “Good Hang” with Amy Poehler. For anyone who doesn’t listen to podcasts, it’s only because you haven’t found one you like. There are literally millions of podcasts out there, most of which are free.

Back in October, I was asked to be on “The Road to Better Teaching” which is hosted by Dr. Joel Amidon and Dr. Ann Monroe. (Coincidentally Joel is one of the people who encouraged me to start a blog back in 2014.) Of course I said YES! without even thinking of what it would entail. Turns out it’s pretty easy to be a guest on a blog in a field you’ve traveled for the better part of four decades, especially if the hosts send you some of the questions in advance. Like all effective podcasts, this one has a particular arc. We had a great time chatting for 50 minutes or so, and maybe the next time you’re out on a walk, folding clothes, or driving to your kid’s soccer game, you’ll have fun listening to it!
