I Don’t Know (a Let it Go parody)

“I Don’t Know” (IDK)
(one of millions of “Let It Go” parodies…)

The sweat shines bright on my forehead today,
Not a sound to be heard.
A classroom of nervous students,
And I feel like such a nerd.

The AC’s blowing, lifting all the ceiling tiles.
Couldn’t concentrate, even if I tried.

dy/dx, dx/dt, It’s all a mystery to me.
Rate of Change or Area, How can I know?

I don’t know, I don’t know,
Should I differentiate?
I don’t know, I don’t know,
Or should I integrate?
Here I sit, with my paper blank.
And the clock ticks on…

Calculus kills me every day.

It’s funny how dx, is very very small.
And years of mathematics aren’t helping me at all.
It’s time to see what I can do,
To test the limits and break through,
The right, the left, does the limit equal
f of c?

I don’t know, I don’t know,
Should I differentiate?
I don’t know, I don’t know,
Or should I integrate?
Here I sit, with my paper blank.
And the clock ticks on…

The Power Rule pops in my head from out of bounds,
My pencil’s spinning shaded regions all around.
Then one thought hits me like an icy blast,
I need to integrate,
I think I’m gonna pass!

Now I know, now I know
When to differentiate
Now I know, now I know,
It’s when I need the rate.

Separate, Integrate, and don’t forget
The initial value to find your C.
